I have been sick the past few days... Probably just a head cold, but it has taken the life right out of me. I slept almost all day Sunday, and then when it was time to sleep at 10:00, I was wide awake, and only got 30 minutes of sleep due to feeling icky and sleeping all day. Fun, I know. So, I took the day off of work today. Slept for a little while, and I am on the way to good health! :)<br /><br />But one nice thing about being sick is having your fiance come over and take care of you... PERKS!!! haha!<br /><br />But I had a pleasant surprise when Shelbee came over. The kids in her classroom wrote me Get Well cards!! They are so sweet. Here are some of them:<br /><br />"to. mr.usall: Git wal" (She even spelled my name on the board..it's funny to see the variations)<br /><br />"to Mr. Russle: thank you for all you do for us. get well soon"<br /><br />"To: Mr Russell: I hope you have a nice day" (I dont think she understood what kind of card it was. :) )<br /><br />"Dear, Mr. Russell: I hope you feel better."<br /><br />"Dear Mr. Russell: I hope you fill beater." (Yikes!) :)<br /><br />"Dear mr. Russell. I hope you get better soon. " (She then drew a picture of us as stick figures)<br /><br />"Dear Mr. Russle I am so sorry that you are sick. Get well soon."<br /><br />"To Mr. Russell: I hope I see you tomo. (translation: I hope I see you tomorrow) <br /><br />"Dear Mr. Russle: I hop you get beta soon."<br /><br />Now aren't those adorable?? Ms. Forston has some great 2nd graders! :)Evohttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08513836254440160453noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7497075695558015335.post-19716254984469032512009-03-26T13:06:00.000-07:002009-03-26T13:16:44.968-07:00News... but old news....It's been a while since I last posted. Let me give a short, straight to the point assimilation of what has been going on in the last few months.<br /><br /><div align="center">1. Still been dating the love of my life.</div><div align="center"> </div><div align="center">2. Engaged to the love of my life.</div><div align="center"> </div><div align="center">3. Life has been good.</div><div align="left"><br /> </div><div align="left">Shelbee and I got engaged on February 13th, and we are set to be married on June 20th in Dallas. Life has now been triple the happiness, as well as triple the trials. But I know that there is one heckuva bright light at the end of the tunnel. :) All these past debts kept coming up, and worries about finding a job were stressing me to no end. But now that Shelbee helped me get a job as a tutor with the elementary school where she presently works at has been an answer to prayer. I work mostly with the 4th graders, who in short, are quite the handful. But at least most of the time all I do is babysit and play games. :) But I do have an hour and a half break so I can be with Ms. Forston's class and help her when she needs it. </div><div align="left"> </div><div align="left">I also had the pleasure of driving up to Utah during Spring Break with Shelbee and Coulter to visit my sister and to get our engagement pictures done. Our pictures turned out fabulous! The photographer, Jenni Rossi, is excellant and I would suggest her to anyone who are looking for a good photo person. Her blog can be found on Shelbee's blog, as I do not have the address now, but I will put it up on here when I get it. </div><div align="left"> </div><div align="left">Come on June.... Incredible, I know! haha... Well, there are just so many things to catch up on!! As the last post was an introduction to Shelbee, this is pretty much a continuation of what she brings to my life. One day, she only had a half day for work (she is a second grade ESL teacher) because she could use the day for report cards and parent-teacher conferences. She got those finished early, so she asked if she could come over to my apartment and hang out there and watch TV until I got home from work. I couldn't turn down the chance of having her welcome me home from work, could I? :) <div><div><div><br /><div></div><br /><div>I got home, and there was much more than Shelbee waiting for me. She had made a romantic dinner with candles, sparkling cider, and music. It was such a surprise to me, because I have never had someone do that kind of thing for me. I never thought I could appreciate her any more than I already do, but she proved me wrong! Here are some pictures that I was able to take.</div><br /><div></div><br /><div><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgsosT4cupgrFeaWF5_jq_Gy_JmW7xUbSi8Nl-9ffmGEDFLCpmi2z5MFfWJivHpEIdVaWo3uwiLWC69mkTsFFXR7pB2sxcdSrUx2bfFI_w9Dl1y1gvcgIDtJ6XXlz0HzuOBQVUZG7rhx_Ml/s1600-h/IMG00117.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5257274400992598002" style="FLOAT: left; MARGIN: 0px 10px 10px 0px; WIDTH: 280px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 159px" height="165" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgsosT4cupgrFeaWF5_jq_Gy_JmW7xUbSi8Nl-9ffmGEDFLCpmi2z5MFfWJivHpEIdVaWo3uwiLWC69mkTsFFXR7pB2sxcdSrUx2bfFI_w9Dl1y1gvcgIDtJ6XXlz0HzuOBQVUZG7rhx_Ml/s320/IMG00117.jpg" width="282" border="0" /></a><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjMtx6nkiYdeYqM1z1yTUooKNQxF0tGNrqoEcj_OPzrRBTgzwxWNvS1NUo8YY8P7zPOWBovuWiq4FVtydDCiEHDRL2TUfaRYwlzIWAN7Rs1WLeK9eu9e4Y6XbJVS2iNEwAsggAsDhGXfMiq/s1600-h/IMG00116.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5257274120544904690" style="FLOAT: left; MARGIN: 0px 10px 10px 0px; WIDTH: 277px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 162px" height="162" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjMtx6nkiYdeYqM1z1yTUooKNQxF0tGNrqoEcj_OPzrRBTgzwxWNvS1NUo8YY8P7zPOWBovuWiq4FVtydDCiEHDRL2TUfaRYwlzIWAN7Rs1WLeK9eu9e4Y6XbJVS2iNEwAsggAsDhGXfMiq/s400/IMG00116.jpg" width="249" border="0" /></a> </div><br /><br /><div></div><br /><br /><div></div><br /><br /><div></div><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjYm-KO36No01QfuktOKGVXnvVX8pVYipYlvaZEQwqkapT193MGb4F_ZoHd98oYZc8AZcATWn0gl7bsin-MzdRM7ePyla7sdnlh6owJJdO_iF4zbrR2QL5F8q1E4Ba6RXFB86wncchFGCbv/s1600-h/IMG00118.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5257274929270778754" style="FLOAT: left; MARGIN: 0px 10px 10px 0px; WIDTH: 280px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 174px" height="163" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjYm-KO36No01QfuktOKGVXnvVX8pVYipYlvaZEQwqkapT193MGb4F_ZoHd98oYZc8AZcATWn0gl7bsin-MzdRM7ePyla7sdnlh6owJJdO_iF4zbrR2QL5F8q1E4Ba6RXFB86wncchFGCbv/s320/IMG00118.jpg" width="255" border="0" /></a> <a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiUpZ-vSgSrIjpaws3DH36AuP_x9ONv6OqoOBpvzmmxtu1jdAKF91Dtfc_uErM-x9WB1lotsW1TeEHTypSon8xAJf-eolFuL-Hb-d7IMwDrm0ewOQ_TsBMg0bMRmOIfzTWQ8SZTitYU9vSG/s1600-h/IMG00120.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5257275495052225746" style="FLOAT: left; MARGIN: 0px 10px 10px 0px; WIDTH: 277px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 174px" height="178" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiUpZ-vSgSrIjpaws3DH36AuP_x9ONv6OqoOBpvzmmxtu1jdAKF91Dtfc_uErM-x9WB1lotsW1TeEHTypSon8xAJf-eolFuL-Hb-d7IMwDrm0ewOQ_TsBMg0bMRmOIfzTWQ8SZTitYU9vSG/s320/IMG00120.jpg" width="288" border="0" /></a><br /><br /><div></div><br /><br /><div></div><br /><br /><div></div><br /><br /><div></div><br /><br /><div></div><br /><br /><div></div>I am telling you ladies....(If there are any ladies reading this other than my sisters....) Her name is Shelbee Forston, and we have been dating for the past few weeks, almost a month. :) How we met is kind of funny actually...</div><div></div><div> </div><div>Shelbee was looking through the Dallas/Fort Worth group on Facebook, and saw a picture of the most handsome guy she had ever seen. She casually kept looking until she came upon my picture. She noticed that I was friends with one of her EFY co-counselors, so she decided to "poke" me. Not too much later, I was looking at my profile, and saw that I had been poked by a Shelbee Forston. I was thinking to myself.."Who is that?" I didn't recognize the name, so I looked at her profile. The picture above was her profile pic at the time, and as you can tell she is very, very attractive. So I sent her a message asking if we had met before, because if we had, I would have felt like a jerk for not remembering who she was. Anyways, she responded back saying we had not met, but that she had randomly poked me. We messaged back and forth, and the rest is history. :) We went on several dates, including lunch in a Gas Station (another interesting story for later), an Amos Lee concert, a Texas Rangers game, and dinner in a romantic Italian restaurant. My quality of life has increased a hundred fold since being with her and wouldn't trade it for the world. I am excited to see where this relationship goes! </div>Evohttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08513836254440160453noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7497075695558015335.post-54749771923337020282008-09-16T21:24:00.000-07:002008-09-16T21:43:59.470-07:00Adventures of Cooking...<div><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjRgiOLhqjmkWHOyvlm-vAzUIiHZC1-H342DHdJDl_rLw53nVAbC5VnbPdEqUCzV81pT_AcVQOVu2Nd7qt6MuVVXasj-LQOIZAZGAP7tXJnJOte-7PcQq3jvKTVFdTcl8BSZgSUvr9UoYGt/s1600-h/IMG00075.jpg"></a><br /><br /><div><span style="color:#009900;">Well, it has been one heck of a day. After a hard day's work, I decided that I would actually cook a homemade meal for dinner. My brother and I thought it would be fun to have dinner together and share in this most uplifting experiences...cooking our first meals in the new apartment. The other night we went shopping at Costco and bought a bunch of groceries, so we felt we were prepared. Anyways, I started cooking some rice, and my brother was going to bring over some chicken. He calls me and tells me to set the oven to 400 degrees. After a few minutes, I could smell something funny, but thought nothing of it, that it could possibly be just the new oven smell? Boy was I wrong! I posted earlier of those Cort guys who put away all of the dishes and things? Well, they didn't tell me that they put some of the pans in the oven. There was a cookie sheet with a plastic advertisement on it, which melted to the pan and now is impossible to get off...ugh....one pan pretty much ruined... :( </span></div><br /><br /><div></div><br /><br /><div><span style="color:#009900;">Anyways, dinner ended up looking like this: <img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5246845196586919218" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; CURSOR: hand; TEXT-ALIGN: center" height="210" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi-Syx2nq3IPm6CXq63rddq9uglmpuIOgUrtXMyMtD3RmGMjxFUiKSO-1Pz-0eknyliz-Y1toA0T7M7oGJ8QzhcRPP2nBNOMq3TIU8hvLJc1ezPX-Fh4kvZO348d74Cw-kaB8sd5uC-1MmE/s320/IMG00073.jpg" width="320" border="0" /></span></div></div><br /><p> </p><p><span style="color:#009900;">Looks nice, doesn't it? Everything was fine, until we realized that we had no salt, pepper, ketchup, butter, or seasonings of any kind. Aack! But other than that, dinner was great! </span></p>Evohttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08513836254440160453noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7497075695558015335.post-6663803359854405192008-09-12T11:16:00.000-07:002008-09-12T11:28:32.931-07:00Apartment Furniture continued..<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEivYfddSQNJgae00Gi-CIKVwPzWk9tOrPB-xhICN3Fnn4kugiqfOLkTPhnua4z9j16GMHWVPbc6pyABsX-viBBQoGc2aUtKcfvmDpbpgYOqvGVcXSy6_mU0M0W7BqHaCj3v15PN35d0ZabF/s1600-h/IMG00063.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5245201000038659794" style="FLOAT: right; MARGIN: 0px 0px 10px 10px; WIDTH: 313px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 263px" height="222" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEivYfddSQNJgae00Gi-CIKVwPzWk9tOrPB-xhICN3Fnn4kugiqfOLkTPhnua4z9j16GMHWVPbc6pyABsX-viBBQoGc2aUtKcfvmDpbpgYOqvGVcXSy6_mU0M0W7BqHaCj3v15PN35d0ZabF/s320/IMG00063.jpg" width="313" border="0" /></a><br /><div><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhj7FB6m1iABSs37hLWluT9lWni6UHjmK4idRYTAQjNosQqkwf3dgPGn_KSGUkHGClMP9Vr2_vY0Z0gznt_n1KTb_xqRD8jRrnarTLKHlUN5kXaedveWsoMLRGGgCav7-LrdrYcjdw0FpZO/s1600-h/IMG00061.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5245200852901839682" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; CURSOR: hand; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhj7FB6m1iABSs37hLWluT9lWni6UHjmK4idRYTAQjNosQqkwf3dgPGn_KSGUkHGClMP9Vr2_vY0Z0gznt_n1KTb_xqRD8jRrnarTLKHlUN5kXaedveWsoMLRGGgCav7-LrdrYcjdw0FpZO/s320/IMG00061.jpg" border="0" /></a> <div><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjnof5293CaRBeSObw8I-UnY0L30MReYLfzctWL9zPQf3eJGlMSo3QU4-GqpKHn3dpzwrb943l0LliHIg-vTxMKSrIgtrHgzR0KP8_genUfoQnxhyTXu8iadQybNxIn3RleQBl2Nk6G5T3Y/s1600-h/IMG00060.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5245200706058930226" style="FLOAT: left; MARGIN: 0px 10px 10px 0px; CURSOR: hand" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjnof5293CaRBeSObw8I-UnY0L30MReYLfzctWL9zPQf3eJGlMSo3QU4-GqpKHn3dpzwrb943l0LliHIg-vTxMKSrIgtrHgzR0KP8_genUfoQnxhyTXu8iadQybNxIn3RleQBl2Nk6G5T3Y/s320/IMG00060.jpg" border="0" /></a></div>Well, as you can probably tell, I am new to this blogging thing, and I hope that this looks somewhat passable for your entertainment. As with the first post, I started with just explaing the bed, in little phrases. After posting that, I amused the idea of having a 12-part series describing every piece of furniture I own now, but realized that it was too silly. Way too silly. Must be serious. Blogging is not a laughing matter. Anyways, I got my furniture through Cort Furniture, which is a rental place, with the option to own after 15 months. I got the house package (bed, dresser, couch, chair, dining table, chairs..etc) and the housewares package which includes dishes, cooking utensils, bathroom stuff. When delivered, the Cort guys come in and actually set everything up, put your dishes away, set up the dining table. That explains why it looks so good in the pictures. I can promise that it won't look like that for long, but I will try.<br /><br /><div><br /><br /><br /><div><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjnof5293CaRBeSObw8I-UnY0L30MReYLfzctWL9zPQf3eJGlMSo3QU4-GqpKHn3dpzwrb943l0LliHIg-vTxMKSrIgtrHgzR0KP8_genUfoQnxhyTXu8iadQybNxIn3RleQBl2Nk6G5T3Y/s1600-h/IMG00060.jpg"></a> </div></div></div>Evohttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08513836254440160453noreply@blogger.com5tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7497075695558015335.post-2394200826710690022008-09-12T10:54:00.000-07:002008-09-12T11:12:46.423-07:00New Apartment...New Furniture...New Beginning<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj2YCnrdeUvZwSW4Kb-1LTZbOT5FCVLgm2aTs74poHtjnvSnnuao7fesSSGG97mpBCdI-KCMZIftY3EChKWI4jwUsOPVLxP6fTT8iY2IMkrPLHRtEaxSRhcfvjOg86ZwwRvMXKAhsFGHvjb/s1600-h/IMG00062.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5245195540377876642" style="FLOAT: left; MARGIN: 0px 10px 10px 0px; CURSOR: hand" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj2YCnrdeUvZwSW4Kb-1LTZbOT5FCVLgm2aTs74poHtjnvSnnuao7fesSSGG97mpBCdI-KCMZIftY3EChKWI4jwUsOPVLxP6fTT8iY2IMkrPLHRtEaxSRhcfvjOg86ZwwRvMXKAhsFGHvjb/s320/IMG00062.jpg" border="0" /></a><br /><div>This is my new bed. Amazing. Queen size. Hard as a rock. Uncomfortable. Need foam mattress cover. Need it soon. Need it now. Must get. Looks nice. Looks are deceiving. Nice colors. As good as it looks, I did not make this bed. Matching nightstand. Pretty lamp. With digital clock. Time is wrong. Clock blinking. Clock confused. Need setting. Need more furniture in room.</div>Evohttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08513836254440160453noreply@blogger.com2
