Sick....

So... I have been sick the past few days... Probably just a head cold, but it has taken the life right out of me. I slept almost all day Sunday, and then when it was time to sleep at 10:00, I was wide awake, and only got 30 minutes of sleep due to feeling icky and sleeping all day. Fun, I know. So, I took the day off of work today. Slept for a little while, and I am on the way to good health! :)

But one nice thing about being sick is having your fiance come over and take care of you... PERKS!!! haha!

But I had a pleasant surprise when Shelbee came over. The kids in her classroom wrote me Get Well cards!! They are so sweet. Here are some of them:

"to. mr.usall: Git wal" (She even spelled my name on the board..it's funny to see the variations)

"to Mr. Russle: thank you for all you do for us. get well soon"

"To: Mr Russell: I hope you have a nice day" (I dont think she understood what kind of card it was. :) )

"Dear, Mr. Russell: I hope you feel better."

"Dear Mr. Russell: I hope you fill beater." (Yikes!) :)

"Dear mr. Russell. I hope you get better soon. " (She then drew a picture of us as stick figures)

"Dear Mr. Russle I am so sorry that you are sick. Get well soon."

"To Mr. Russell: I hope I see you tomo. (translation: I hope I see you tomorrow)

"Dear Mr. Russle: I hop you get beta soon."

Now aren't those adorable?? Ms. Forston has some great 2nd graders! :)

News... but old news....

It's been a while since I last posted. Let me give a short, straight to the point assimilation of what has been going on in the last few months.

1. Still been dating the love of my life.
2. Engaged to the love of my life.
3. I now have a job working with the love of my life.
4. Life has been good.

Shelbee and I got engaged on February 13th, and we are set to be married on June 20th in Dallas. Life has now been triple the happiness, as well as triple the trials. But I know that there is one heckuva bright light at the end of the tunnel. :) All these past debts kept coming up, and worries about finding a job were stressing me to no end. But now that Shelbee helped me get a job as a tutor with the elementary school where she presently works at has been an answer to prayer. I work mostly with the 4th graders, who in short, are quite the handful. But at least most of the time all I do is babysit and play games. :) But I do have an hour and a half break so I can be with Ms. Forston's class and help her when she needs it.
I also had the pleasure of driving up to Utah during Spring Break with Shelbee and Coulter to visit my sister and to get our engagement pictures done. Our pictures turned out fabulous! The photographer, Jenni Rossi, is excellant and I would suggest her to anyone who are looking for a good photo person. Her blog can be found on Shelbee's blog, as I do not have the address now, but I will put it up on here when I get it.
Come on June.... I need you here now!!!

Anniversary!!

Today is mine and Shelbee's 4 month anniversary!! I know, I know it doesn't seem like that big of a deal, but this relationship has been of the best experiences of my life so far! And things are just going to get better. :)

Shelbee was in town this past weekend to be with me, and also to celebrate my good friend, James Scifres's birthday. (This is James and Shawnee)

(In case you didn't know.......)

(Some of the greatest friends anyone could have....)

Anyways, on Friday night Shelbee got into town and the four of us went to Tulsa to see a magic show, the amazing ROB LAKE!!! (I know what you are thinking, you hadn't heard of him either..)

By the end of the show, we were amazed at most of the it, but James, the one to knows how all magic is done, was able to point out the obvious ways the tricks are done. Such as "The Watermark" and "The Magical Motorcycle Helmet". Or it could have been a clone... Haha...

The weekend with Shelbee was truly magical, as it always is. :) The magic show and the movies about magic were only fitting. Only two weeks until the great times continue!!
