Careless Whisper.... (New Post!!!)

Hey everyone! I know it has been a while since I have last posted anything. It seems like time is flying by, because everything is so wonderful in my life. Shelbee and I are still dating, and things are looking like it will stay that way forever. If you catch my drift. :)

I will be sure to add more info as to what fun I have been having lately. But for now, I am going to put this music playlist question answer thingy. Just for the fun of it, I will answer them and hope that anyone who reads my blog will be officially "tagged". Haha. So there. You are tagged. Can't tag back. Tough, eh? You are the victim of my tag-a-thon. Bwahaha. Anyways, to the questions and the explanation.

1. Put Your iTunes (or Zune) on Shuffle.
2. For each question, press the next button to get your answer.
3. You must write down the name of the song no matter how silly it sounds!
4. Put any comments in brackets after the song name.
5. Tag at least 10 friends.
6. Anyone tagged has to do the same, because fun pointlessness spreads like a virus.

Shelbee's surprise!

Two posts in one night? Incredible, I know! haha... Well, there are just so many things to catch up on!! As the last post was an introduction to Shelbee, this is pretty much a continuation of what she brings to my life. One day, she only had a half day for work (she is a second grade ESL teacher) because she could use the day for report cards and parent-teacher conferences. She got those finished early, so she asked if she could come over to my apartment and hang out there and watch TV until I got home from work. I couldn't turn down the chance of having her welcome me home from work, could I? :)

I got home, and there was much more than Shelbee waiting for me. She had made a romantic dinner with candles, sparkling cider, and music. It was such a surprise to me, because I have never had someone do that kind of thing for me. I never thought I could appreciate her any more than I already do, but she proved me wrong! Here are some pictures that I was able to take.

I am telling you ladies....(If there are any ladies reading this other than my sisters....) Shelbee sets the bar high when it comes to being a wonderful girlfriend. :) I am truly blessed to have her in my life.

It started with a poke....

Well, it has been a while since I have last posted on this blog o' mine, and it's all because of the beautiful girl in the picture above. Her name is Shelbee Forston, and we have been dating for the past few weeks, almost a month. :) How we met is kind of funny actually...
Shelbee was looking through the Dallas/Fort Worth group on Facebook, and saw a picture of the most handsome guy she had ever seen. She casually kept looking until she came upon my picture. She noticed that I was friends with one of her EFY co-counselors, so she decided to "poke" me. Not too much later, I was looking at my profile, and saw that I had been poked by a Shelbee Forston. I was thinking to myself.."Who is that?" I didn't recognize the name, so I looked at her profile. The picture above was her profile pic at the time, and as you can tell she is very, very attractive. So I sent her a message asking if we had met before, because if we had, I would have felt like a jerk for not remembering who she was. Anyways, she responded back saying we had not met, but that she had randomly poked me. We messaged back and forth, and the rest is history. :) We went on several dates, including lunch in a Gas Station (another interesting story for later), an Amos Lee concert, a Texas Rangers game, and dinner in a romantic Italian restaurant. My quality of life has increased a hundred fold since being with her and wouldn't trade it for the world. I am excited to see where this relationship goes!

Adventures of Cooking...

Well, it has been one heck of a day. After a hard day's work, I decided that I would actually cook a homemade meal for dinner. My brother and I thought it would be fun to have dinner together and share in this most uplifting experiences...cooking our first meals in the new apartment. The other night we went shopping at Costco and bought a bunch of groceries, so we felt we were prepared. Anyways, I started cooking some rice, and my brother was going to bring over some chicken. He calls me and tells me to set the oven to 400 degrees. After a few minutes, I could smell something funny, but thought nothing of it, that it could possibly be just the new oven smell? Boy was I wrong! I posted earlier of those Cort guys who put away all of the dishes and things? Well, they didn't tell me that they put some of the pans in the oven. There was a cookie sheet with a plastic advertisement on it, which melted to the pan and now is impossible to get off...ugh....one pan pretty much ruined... :(

Anyways, dinner ended up looking like this:

Looks nice, doesn't it? Everything was fine, until we realized that we had no salt, pepper, ketchup, butter, or seasonings of any kind. Aack! But other than that, dinner was great!

Apartment Furniture continued..

Well, as you can probably tell, I am new to this blogging thing, and I hope that this looks somewhat passable for your entertainment. As with the first post, I started with just explaing the bed, in little phrases. After posting that, I amused the idea of having a 12-part series describing every piece of furniture I own now, but realized that it was too silly. Way too silly. Must be serious. Blogging is not a laughing matter. Anyways, I got my furniture through Cort Furniture, which is a rental place, with the option to own after 15 months. I got the house package (bed, dresser, couch, chair, dining table, chairs..etc) and the housewares package which includes dishes, cooking utensils, bathroom stuff. When delivered, the Cort guys come in and actually set everything up, put your dishes away, set up the dining table. That explains why it looks so good in the pictures. I can promise that it won't look like that for long, but I will try.

New Apartment...New Furniture...New Beginning

This is my new bed. Amazing. Queen size. Hard as a rock. Uncomfortable. Need foam mattress cover. Need it soon. Need it now. Must get. Looks nice. Looks are deceiving. Nice colors. As good as it looks, I did not make this bed. Matching nightstand. Pretty lamp. With digital clock. Time is wrong. Clock blinking. Clock confused. Need setting. Need more furniture in room.
